Donating aaaall the stamps

Mit eurer Post für den rC3-Stickerexchange sind auch einige Briefmarken bei uns eingetrudelt. Diese wurden natürlich nicht mit den Umschlägen in DSGVO-konformen Häppchen dem Altpapier zugeführt, sondern wurden getrennt gesammelt. Denn es gibt einen guten Ort um diese zu Spenden: die Briefmarkenstelle Bethel.
Bethel freut sich über die Postwertzeichen aus aller Herren Länder. Denn dadurch finden Menschen mit Behinderung eine sinnvolle Beschäftigung in den Werkstätten. Die Marken werden ausgeschnitten, nach Ländern sortiert und dann für den Verkauf abgepackt. Briefmarkenfreunde erwerben die Wertzeichen zumeist als Kiloware. Im Angebot gibt es zum Beispiel die bunte Mischung aus aller Welt, aus Deutschland oder Motivsammlungen. Mit ein bisschen Glück findet der eine oder andere sogar einen Schatz unter den Marken.
In diesem Sinne haben wir die oben abebildete Box mit bereits vorher gesammelten Marken aufgefüllt und bereits an die Briefmarkenstelle versandt. Sorry nochmal an den Briefmarkensammelnden, der extra bei uns angefragt hatte ;)

With all your mail for the rC3 sticker exchange also arrived a lot of stamps. These have of course not been cut to sufficiently-GDPR-conform-sized pieces like the rest of the envelopes, but have been collected separately. This is because there is a good place to donate them: the “Briefmarkenstelle Bethel”.
Roughly translated from the quotation above:
This is a place that collects stamps from all over the world. This way [the foundation] creates meaningful jobs for people with disabilities. The stamps are cut, sorted by country and then packed for sale. Stamp collectors then buy those mostly in bulk. They are available for example in a colourful mix of worldwide stamps, from Germany, or in motive collections. With a little luck, one might find real treasures in those stamp packages.
In that sense we hope it’s in your interest that we filled up the box pictured above with stamps we collected before the exchange, and that we donated them to that foundation already. Sorry again to the stamp collector who actually emailed us asking what we do with the stamps ;)
